Montessori Math Tutoring
Maria Montessori said it best, "What you give to the hands, you give to the mind." What better gift to give a child than a physical representation of how to add, subtract, multiply, and divide quantities in an easy to understand and fun hands-on way. Here at Little Heroes, we make math just plain fun!
Our first session or two together will involve getting to know your child's mathematical strengths through informal and low key interactions with the Montessori Materials. Next, we'll design a tutoring plan together to support them in furthering that knowledge in all 4 operations.
Materials we have on hand for lessons include: golden bead material, stamp game, small and large bead frames, fraction materials, checkerboard, snake game, charts for addition/subtraction/multiplication/division, bead bar decanomial box and racks and tubes.
We can almost guarantee your child will want to keep practicing with their fun new materials at home and we are happy to offer suggestions for finding inexpensive options on the internet. You can do ALOT with just a few things.
